Sun Burns and Essential Oils - A Simple Guide to Using Essential Oils For Sunburn Relief

If you are suffering from sun burns then you would have used of some form of a sun burn treatment at one point or another in your life. This is especially true if you are young and still in the "spark" stage of your life. Many people tend to forget about applying sunscreen when going outside or swimming. This is a huge mistake and can have serious consequences on your health. It will take time to develop good habits but it is important to start right away.

Use of essential oils for sunburn heals sun exposure naturally while retaining your skin soft, smooth, and flawless. Some of the most effective essential oils include eucalyptus, tea tree oil, marjoram, basil, calendula, lavender, lemon, rosemary, thyme, peppermint, oregano, grapefruit, passion fruit, sweet orange, lemon balm, bergamot, sweet pea, and jojoba. There are many other wonderful oils that are beneficial to your health when used for sun exposure. Many therapeutic essential oils also help to boost the healthy skin quality by containing anti-bacterial, antiseptic, and anti-fungal properties. These healing essential oils can be used to treat sun burns on a regular basis without causing any undesirable side effects.

You should apply the following essential oils for sunburn treatment right away to get immediate relief. The first one is tea tree oil. This particular oil has powerful antibacterial, antifungal and antibiotic properties and is very beneficial when applied to the burn site. To use essential oils for burn treatment you should follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully and apply directly to the burn. The best way to do this is with a narrow, wavy dropper rather than a lot of pressure.

Another excellent essential oils for sunburn relief is sweet almond oil, which contains high levels of vitamin e. Sweet almond oil has become very popular recently for its ability to increase skin elasticity and moisture content. It also has emollient properties, which makes it highly recommended. If you don't like to apply the sweet almond oil directly to your sunburns, you can also purchase a sweet almond extract and use this directly on your burn. Just remember to dilute the extract before applying it.

Lavender oil has also been widely recognized for its healing properties. A high amount of vitamin c is present in lavender oil and this may help speed up the healing process. Other possible benefits of using lavender oil include increased circulation and reduced inflammation. For maximum benefits though, you should wear a hat containing at least 10% lavender oil.

Most essential oils are available in either a bottle or in a spray bottle. If you prefer to have a bottle, you should check out the Rosemary essential oils available in both a spray bottle and in a bottle. Both of these drops per ounce products are very effective for people with dry skin. A few drops of peppermint oil may also help you to feel better. Keep in mind that if you choose to use a bottle, make sure you shake the bottle well so that the essential oils are evenly distributed on your skin.

There are a number of different natural remedies you can try in order to feel better and treat sunburns effectively. However, there are some things you should always remember when treating a sunburn. First, try to avoid smoking, as this habit speeds up the healing process. Second, drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated and prevent burns from becoming too severe. And third, eat fresh fruits and vegetables to provide your body with the vitamins it needs to heal itself. By using these easy-to-follow tips, you will be able to find relief much faster than if you don't pay attention to your skin.

You can also use essential oils as a topical treatment for sunburns. If you prefer, jojoba, rosemary, lavender and tea tree oil are good choices for healing your sunburn. Jojoba oil is good for burns because it helps keep moisture in the skin while rosemary, tea tree and lavender are excellent for soothing pain. Essential carrier oils are excellent at absorbing the toxins and harmful elements of the sun. These carrier oils are often called "essential oils of sunburn" since they are the concentrated essence of the plant. Essential oils of sunburn are very effective for relieving pain, itching and irritation associated with sun burns.
