Essential Oils For Ingrown Hair Problems

Natural essential oils are used for many reasons. A lotion or cream may be created with these oils by adding a few drops to your bath water before applying it to the skin. This requires no extra effort. This also calls for less manual work, as all you need is a shower cap and your fingertips. This also necessitates lesser shaving of the facial areas, especially bikini areas. For those people who suffer from ingrown hairs, all you need to know are the several ingredients of natural essential oils for ingrown hair removal and tips on how to make use of the oil.

A major reason why people choose to make use of essential oils for facial hair removal is because it heals both the physical and emotional wounds. When irritated, the skin produces an abundance of natural chemicals called cytokines. These are responsible in swelling the blood vessels and sending signals throughout the body to speed up the metabolism. One of these chemicals, 4-hydroxyisobutane (occasionally referred to as Hiesel), is the culprit for most of the redness and swelling we observe after a good shave. The natural ingredient in H Diesel that causes the redness is called epimedium leaf extract and it also serves as a powerful anti-inflammatory agent.

In addition to speeding up the metabolism, the pores are clogged and the hair gets trapped. The oil in the essential oils for hair removal acts as an exfoliant. As it is applied to the skin's surface, the pores open up again and the hair can free itself. However, if there are too many pores open, the infection can spread into the nearby skin cells. If the infection spreads to the neighboring skin cells, the microorganisms responsible for infection can multiply and cause the infection to become systemic. Systemic infection can result in severe inflammation, permanent scarring and even fibrosis of the hair follicles.

To fight this infection, it is important to apply the 8 best essential oil combinations for ingrown hairs on the affected area at least twice a day. Each of the oils has a different healing effect: lavender, peppermint, chamomile, basil, rosemary, sweet marjoram, eucalyptus, basil, cypress, marjoram, clove and tea tree oil are included in the list. If you choose to use a remedy that contains salicylic acid, remember to take it with a glass of warm water. Salicylic acid dissolves the protein found in the dead skin cells. It also softens the scalp and increases blood circulation in the area. Four to five drops of this solution should be mixed with eight ounces of warm water. Apply this mixture to the scalp and hair.

If you have recently shaved your head, the hair is most likely cut too short or the hair is growing in an unusual pattern. In such cases, rinsing the hair with warm water and then using an antiseptic shaving cream can help you solve the problem. However, if your hair is infected, rinsing with cold water will not do. The solution should be applied to the infected areas using a cotton pad or a clean towel.

A good remedy for this condition is to apply a few drops of eucalyptus oil to the redness using a cotton ball. The oil reduces inflammation by penetrating into the tissue. This treatment should be repeated at least four times a day until the ingrown hairs are gone.

Essential oils can also reduce inflammation contains antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. Tea tree oil and lavender are excellent anti-inflammatories. When essential oils are used at the right time, they can treat the symptoms rather than only treating the inflammation. However, it is important to follow the instructions given on the label. Most essential oils are not suitable for colored hair.
