Essential Oils For Bruising

You've probably heard about essential oils for healing various ailments and are thinking about applying them to help heal your bruises. Essential oils are great for healing minor and deep wounds. The main problem is that many people have no idea how to properly make essential oils or how to get the most benefit from them. Follow these steps to make essential oil remedies for bruises work faster and better.

Before applying essential oils to the area, make sure you dilute the oil in carrier oil. Essential oils like grape seed oil work very well when diluted, because it allows you to put less amount of concentrated essential oil on the wound while still providing great benefits to the skin. Most people like to use grape seed oil for bruises because it's simple to create, grab, and apply on the sore skin by using roller blends.

Using carrier oil to dilute an essential oils remedy is a great way to shorten the healing time and keep irritation to a minimum. To make a carrier oil remedy for bruises, simply mix together some aloe vera, olive oil, jojoba oil, lavender oil, and rosemary oil. Then apply a thin layer over the area, making sure it's completely covered with the carrier oil. Let it sit for about half an hour before washing it off. Make sure the oil is completely saturated with carrier oil before applying more.

Many essential oils provide great benefits when dilution is necessary. Peppermint oil, for example, works great when diluted and applied topically to the area with a cotton ball. Then take a dab of the peppermint oil and place it on the bruise. Leave it on for a minute or two, then wash it off. After a few hours, the peppermint oil will have noticeably soothed the pain and helped the blood vessels close up and go away.

Another great remedy to try is grapefruit oil, also known as guava oil. Grapefruit oil has a slightly cooling effect that can bring relief from inflammation, which can help with minor and heal wounds. You can make a great essential oils blend using rose hip seed, cypress, peppermint, and grapefruit seed with just a few drops of each. Apply this blend to the area with a cotton ball and leave it on overnight. The next morning you can wash it off with warm water.

One of the best ways to use essential oils for healing bruises is to massage them into the area. To do this, you should take some extra steps to ensure the proper massage therapy is being done. Because the skin is very sensitive, try not to rub too hard or handle the bruises with too much force.

When choosing the best essential oils to massage into the skin, try to find one with anti-inflammatory properties, which can help ease any pain. You may want to try Yarrow essential oil, which is a great choice when it comes to soothing away pain, especially around the eyes. You can also try Frankincense essential oil which is great for healing minor bruises and burns as well as clearing the airways.

One popular way to use essential oils for healing bruises is with aromatherapy. You can create a wonderful aromatherapy bath to soothe your skin after a good workout. You can mix together equal parts of pure rosewood oil, sweet orange Essential oil, lavender Essential oil, and geranium Essential oil. Place this in a bathtub along with some honey. This will help to soothe the skin and get rid of any pain caused by the bruises.
